    Definitely Cattleya walkeriana!

    1) C. nobilior is bifoliated.
    2) The column and the tube on C. walkeriana is directed downward. C. nobilior's tube and column is directed more to the front.

Really beautiful bloom and photo, Eric.

Thanks for that insight on the possibility of it being to hot here in FL for walkeriana to bloom well, Jeff. I never considered that.
    Cheers,
    Tony

I don't think Florida is too hot. In Cattleya walkeriana's natural habit it is very hot specially during the Brazilian hot and wet summer.
It is more likely that you give too much water during the winter season. Cattleya walkeriana need a 3 to 4 month dry period during the cooler winter season. You should give water only occasionally during this dry period.

Is your plant mounted or in a pot?
