    Cool Vanda Paki blooming again

I love this little plant! It's blooming again already. I still am getting only two flowers at a time but I don't care. I'm just happy it likes to bloom....and it's got spots! Love those spots...

yay! this is one of those that can supposedly handle socal temps in winter, so i have recently gotten one that seems to be putting out a larger set of leaves, and when i look really close, i think it might be getting ready to send up 2 spikes (it could be just roots forming, it's early and hard to tell, but i see green tips in 2 leaf axils). originally i saw these in creamy white, but i think the ones they are selling these days are a re-cross that end up being mostly green, but i think the flowers are still really interesting and different. good job on yours! it must be happy. aren't the lips wonderful? like a cartoon snake's tongue!

I won't be suprised if you have spikes. These seem to really love to bloom and two spikes would be great!

    Very cute and pretty!!
I am not a Vanda person & not very knowledgeable about this genera, but I think this plant is very unusual. It looks like an alien among Vandas to me and reminds me Den. spectabile which also looks like an alien.

It is what I refer to as a compact vanda. Maybe over the years it will grow big, but for now it's got about a 10 inch leaf span and isn't what i'd call a big space waster like a few of my oversized huge vandas that won't bloom. lol Those big boys have been getting threats lately. Yesterday I hit the big vandas with honey to try and get them blooming. If they don't bloom soon I'm going to sell the big space wasters!

Banished from the realm of the Queen of the Vandas?!?! Oh, no! I'll bet they're shivering in their little boots right now.

Queen of the vanda?? lol Oh no...that's Cathy or one of the many members from the far east perhaps or our esteemed member from England (king of vanda there), that makes vandas grow where noone else can. I've always struggled with the vandas. For some reason the compact growers have taken pity on me and bloom some. But I could never be called the Queen of those. lol Thank You for the belly laugh!! I needed one this morning. And thank you for the compliment...maybe someday I will be good enough to be an Ugly Stepchild of the Queen of Vanda's.
