Default cattleyas in the dark! NOID (for now)

the lady i got this off of told me she didnt have the english name with her when bought it but her husband would be able to tell me the next time i see him in the market... whenever that will be... but she told me that it has "chocolate" in it... i was hoping for chocolate drop volcano queen, but whatever this is, i like it! unfortunately, since it has finally bloomed, i've only seen it in the dark after work the last two days, looking forward to spending some daylight hours with it this weekend!

Chocolate Drop 'Kodama' perhaps? Those are some nice smelling catt's! You have a gorgeous one at that...love the substance to your flower! Very nice...

It is a Chocolate drop hybrid like Cattlianthe Netrasiri waxy or Cattlianthe Sagarik Wax 'African Beauty'. Over the past few years there have been many such dark waxy hybrids from Southeast Asia (mostly Thailand) and South America.

I tend to agree with Halloamey, it looks like a Chocolate Drop hybrid with that lip, not a clone.
I have a 'Kodama' (won't be in bloom for a few months yet), and the lip is smaller than that. The petals look just a tad broad and 'ruffley' to compared to the Kodama clone. It does remind me of a cross I have... darn can't remember the name and the plant's at the old house yet... Oconee's the other parent... something like Wendys Valentine maybe? that might not be right name
Beautiful flower anyhow, and any I've seen have been very long lasting and fragrant
