This is an intensely fragrant bifolate cattleya. Probably the most fragrant of all my cattleyas. Itís still a small plant and this is the first time itís bloomed. Iíve seen large specimens of this orchid and they can be very impressive with lots of flowers.

This is one of several reasons why I'm intrigued by these plants

Oh my God, beautiful!!! WHY didn't I buy this one when I had the chance? Maybe the big box store still has a bag baby left...it had the same name as yours, but the picture on the bag was more brown, green and white...I know the pictures on those things are just generalized but I had no idea it would actually be this beautiful! Is it tall and leggy or more compact?

This plant is 12" tall. I don't know how tall it will get when it's fully mature. The color can vary a great deal between individual plants. Just like you said, I've seen some that are much more brown and green. I got lucky with this one.

Have never been a fan of spotted orchids but this one is exceptional! I love it so much that I bought one a few months ago. I only hope that it is as beautiful as yours. Great job!
