    Thanks, Amey! The insecticide I first used was neem oil, which did not work. Then I used triazicide, which did the trick completely.

    Default Photo Update on the Amazing C. harrisoniana





    Well, I have to say that I think I've found my favorite Cattleya - I've been mesmerised by its absolute perfection, lone bloom that it is. And, it has the added thrill of a slight pretty fragrance during the day. I should correct the initial Heading for this thread - This is actually C. harrisoniana 'Volcano Queen' AM/AOS.

    I'm having lots of fun photographing it - in catt terms, it's perfectly round and perfectly flat, which I've tried to show in some of these shots. I should note that the whte specks where the stem meets the bloom on the shot from behind are NOT mealy bugs - just a reflection of a coiple of points of light there.

    I'll be sad when it starts to decline.
