    Default Blc. Waianae Leopard 'Ching Hua'



    I really wish the flowers would spread out more on this orchid. Every time it blooms all the flowers are clustered together like this.

    Still pretty all the same. I suspect there is nothing you can do about the clustering, huh?

    What a beauty though. Mine is just opening up and has more green around the outside of the petals and sepals.

    The flower clustering is genetic. The only solution is to cross-breed it with another catt and hope for a more spread out offspring lol.

    While the cluster is tight it still produces amazingly colored blooms.

    All of the Waianae Leopards, that I've seen, have the tightly bunched flowers. The flowers are always cupped also, so they don't open up flat. Never-the-less I think it's a great orchid. Mine is in bloom now also but yours looks much nicer. Good growing.
