Pavel the looks are deceptive in this case, the flowers are a good 15-17 cm, the plant is not very big, but not a mini or compact for sure. The pot is actually quite low, so it gives the illusion of the plant being small. Tomorrow I will take some photos with a scale.

One fantastic beauty and enough to make alot of us envious/jealous. Would love to have this one. There is not one thing to put down about it other than the fact that it is not mine! LOL Thanks for sharling. Bruce really needs to devise away that we can post the fragrances of our orchids on here.

Thanks Cathy and Bill ! The scent from distance is rather sweet and mild. Get close to the flower and the smell is still pleasant, it reminds me of the scent of a particular brand of fragrant crayons (oil pastels from Faber Castle) that I used to have during my childhood.

Amey - isn't technology great? It both frustrates and thrills me when an iPhone can take a great picture and I often spend hours with my Nikon D80 setting it up on the tripod, taking a zillion pictures to get the lighting and shutter speed and white balance right. I'd love to see a DSLR photo of this gorgeuos catt if and when you get arround to it. I have a C. mossiae in sheath right now, but it's not filling it yet - anticipation!!!
