Strong bifoliate growth, and a beautifully colored and patterned lip are the hereditary influences of schilleriana. Other hybrids of schilleriana with monofoliate floofy species gives similar results as seen in case of Cattleya whitei. Also spots are not a dominant characteristic schilleriana passes on, it rather gives a smooth glossy touch.
