i love how it is attaching to the concrete wall. it likes it there! that is a cool color pattern, but no idea what it is, i just recently started checking renathera out, and have ordered 2 small hybrids (one with v. cristata that i am excited about). these things are so exotic looking. good find! you better protect that baby with razor wire!

    Maybe Renanthera x Paraphalaenopsis?

I don't think so. All the Renanthera x Paraphalaenopsis I have seen since the late 1960s have been semi-teretes. From the picture the flowers seem to have heavier substance than pure Renanthera - more reminiscent of a Renanopsis, for example Rnps Lena Rowold or Rnps Cape Sable, the heavier substance coming from the Vandopsis lissocholoides parent.

Exactly what Yew said. Paraphals are very strong in their inheritance regarding foliage.
