    Cool Aranda Noorah Alsagoff 'Sapphire'

I was going to wait to post this until it is completely in bloom, but I will do a repost if I can later when the rest of the flowers open. So much is going on all the time right now I never know if I will get to come online or what anymore. Between hiring new guys to finish the construction the other guys didn't finish...storms/weather...and doctors appointments, I'm a busy girl lately. lol Normally we are so bored at my house, watching the orchids grow is a past time. Lately i'm lucky if I have time to snap a few pics here and there.
This beast of a vanda was purchased late last year and as I left the sale with it someone had made a tart remark that it hadn't bloomed before (probably because I passed her stand of much smaller blooming vandas by). Well, lots of sun and honey in the fertilizer apparently made it decide to finally grace us with flowers. So...Tah Dah! lol I held my fav. no name dendrobium, as it is really putting on a show this year. And, in the close up for the dendrobium, my replacement Epicatt. Maj is in the background. (replacement for the one that I killed two years ago)

Thanks guys! lol I was in a great mood. I know it may sound backwards but I got my surgery date today and am just glad to be getting on with things. It also means I get to see one of my moms. Strange to be happy over surgery, but i'm backwards that way. That big vanda has been my happy place this week. When I go outside in a bad mood and see that, I cannot help but come back in with a little smile on my face and an even bigger one in my heart.

What a wonderful 'family' portrait. You look happy Connie and the orchids look happy also. Good luck with your surgery. I wish you quick recovery and I hope that the operation is a complete success! AL

Congrats Connie. Aranda Norah Alsagoff is truly one of our greatest aranda! When yours are fully open it will truly be fantastic sight. BTW the colour and size of the blooms will improve after a few days. Beautiful smile!

Beautiful Connie! I, too, love the "group" shot. Your orchids are really putting on a show! I have the Noorah Alsagoff "Blue" Aranda. Seeing yours with such beautiful blooms is making me really impatient for mine to grow! Great growing!!

I will keep you in my prayers as you head into surgery. Hang in there, and thanks for sharing such beautiful pics!
