    Default Ascda. Pachara Delight 'Isabella'

This ascocenda has bloomed three times this year but this time the flowers are larger than before. They're slightly less than 5". We've had a tremendous amount of rain and that might have contributed to the larger size.

that is beautiful. i see these listed as vandas, are they an ascocenda, or a vanda? or is there both with the same name? nice that it blooms so much, that sure bumps it up the list of consideration! looks nice and helathy, and happy.

Thank you. An ascocenda is a cross between a vanda and an ascocentrum. People sometimes use the word vanda in a general sense to refer to a whole catagory of orchids including vandas and other closely related orchids.

Hmmm... Actually, Pachara Delight is correct, no n. And it is a Vanda, not an Ascocenda. But blooming 3 times a year with that color and nearly 5" flowers, who really cares what it is? It is stunning.

Of course, you're right on both counts. I don't know what I was thinking.

The correct name is Vanda Pachara Delight 'Isabella'.
