Thanks for the comments folks, the plants are responding well to some care which they didn't get for 10 weeks post my accident.
123orchids, I have the same non flowering problem with a V. coerulea. Wait till you see my 'big' tricolor spikes this year, put these to shame. ( just rocked the boat with this comment didn't I )

And I will add, while I don't have a problem blooming coerulea I do with its progeny, rothschildiana. I have a really nice clone that is probably the hardest plant to bloom. It is very picky. It will skip a few years without blooming, but when it does it makes it worth the wait. I wish it was more like Bruce's great rothschildiana which freely blooms.

The coerulea I have I bought a few years ago from grower that was going into a residence were he couldn't have plants. The plant is near 3 feet tall & I can only find 1 old spike......might have to put a can of weed killer near it...

I like coerulea but it the plant in my opinion isn't as spectacular as some of the other vanda species. I think I'm just sort of over blue vandas. I'm going to unload some of my blue hybrids. Many all start to look alike. I need the room. I think your Tricolor is much more interesting.

Just had a new heating system installed today, eating soup for the next 12 mths. Hopefully it will give things a boost (in winter, 6mths away) by giving the extra warmth. Might get some flowers then.
