Cool Blc Copper Queen in bloom again...

This plant has always been a reliable bloomer, but this years regimen has brought extra flowers. Two spikes of five flowers and one with three makes this it's best blooming since it arrived. This thing even bloomed one winter in the garage...i'd have to say it's a keeper! Also; you will notice they change color as they age and it takes them about three days for the petals to completely open and stretch to their full size...which makes for fun pictures.

I WANT YOUR PLANT! RIGHT NOW!!! Seriously- this is what I'm talking about: what a catt. Words fail me; superb clone. I really love the warm pink/ elegant copper colour range you usually get with Cypripedium and Phaius. It is great to see these colours in a catt because I am not good with cyp and phaius (they make me nervous) but cats do well for me... so I shall try my damndest to acquire this one!

And the colour development is such fun. Thanks for sharing this, Connie.

By giving me this very special orchid you Connie are upholding "Truth, justice and the American way". Sound familar? There is method behind my madness that you'll have a difficult time arguing with. First, the truth is that this truly beautiful and I truly want it (double truths yet!). Second, it is only just that you give it to me to ensure peace and mutual cooperation. Thrid, I promise you that I live way out west of you and am therefore part of the American way. I always knew you were the kind of person Connie to sacrifice for a noble cause (namely me). AL
