I have been watching for a Chocolate Drop for a month now. I have found only one hybrid that has Choc Drop as a parent. Not all itself.

Looks like a difficult one to find.

Well, its been around for a long time, that was about 40 years ago! I have seen it at times online, maybe next summer I will just keep looking until I find one and bite the bullet and get it!

I do have to be a little careful about space, I can't give my whole house over to orchids like you, Harvey! I have two large dogs and four cats, a husband and his mother living here too. It's a pretty big house with good light, but not a green house! lol

I wish I knew what this one is...it's been blooming since October and has had 4 spikes over that time and still has 2 buds to open. It is intensely perfumed--absolutely captivating scent! The whole plant is only 8" long and the flowers are 2", so it's very small.

OK, you cattleya people. Now one of my (last year's) divisions of Grand Dragon has finished, after 3 spikes with 6 flowers. I hope you can tell what's going on in these photos. It's already growing out of the pot! It has 2 leads (center of second pic), but they are soooo close together I don't think I can divide it. It's in a 7" pot now...what would you do? Put it in a 9" as is? Try surgery?
