Cool Cattleya Dominiana x C. Maxima and Hasegawara Red Stella 'Carmela'

The first flowers have been a long time coming. This plant took three years from when bought to bloom. I am very happy with the size and form...definitely worth waiting for. Also; I went out and found my "Stella" opening a lovely red bloom. It will turn an amazing hot pink before it's done.

They are both beautiful, but the first one is making me swoon! I love the shape and delicate blue veining on all that white!

I'm stunned by the first. Any fragrance? Is there still no cross name registered? How can that be?

Maura; you would adore the scent as it reminds me of a lilac bush we had in our backyard growing up. I can't go past it without sticking my nose in the flowers. lol And I'm guessing this is a newer cross as my tag has the deflask date on it.
