    Beautiful yellow color! I am surprised that the Neostylis in its ancestry does not appear to have any effect on the flower shape.

    Thanks all of you for the nice comments. Pavel, does it really have Neostylis in its background? Wouldn't the hybrid genus have changed then?

    Isn't the 'stylis bit here from Rhyncostylis ? Not Neostylis. I must look it up, but I am using my iPad here, and WIZ doesn't run on it - we need an App !

    You're correct, Geoff. Vascostylis = Ascocentrum x Rhyncostylis x Vanda. This Vasco Tristar Gold is a very complex cross combining 3rd or 4th generation Vasco with a Vanda. The Rhyncostylis involved is Rhy coelestis. I don't have OWiz,and so I'll let you sort out the parentage.
