    Default Dendrobium bullenianum

I don't know why this plant is struggling to bloom. Maybe I did not restrict watering long enough. As you can see it still has many leaves still fully green. usually it drops most of the leaves so that the stem has more flowers. beautiful anyway.

What a lovely dendrobium. No Bill you don't want it! Remember you are getting rid of your dens. Now I need to keep telling myself that! This is a really pretty one.

Boy, don't I wish for a bright orange orchid on such a cold cloudy day in Houston!

How long do you normally leave these dends dry for their winter rest? I haven't had much lucky with them. Thx!

wow that is nice, I had to google it , the info I found said to treat it the same year round, but that was in a 5 minute search, i think I'd like to try one of these, species dens are catching my eye lately, thanks for sharing.

I am not the best person to ask advise on Den. species. I have 4 species plants, and no matter what i do I can't seem to get it right. I have to confess that I have never done my own research into how to grow them under my conditions. I have relied on other club members telling me what to do. I have been told to restrict water and Fert. from Nov. giving a light spray only to keep the roots alive, and then start watering and Fert. again in January.

That's a very nice and healthy clump. The colour is just fantastic. In my place there is no actual blooming season. It blooms when it feels like it, about 3-4 times a year, but unfortunately the flowers are not long lasting.
