Default Vanda lamellata var. boxallii (or just v. boxallii)

so i got this from one of my favorite vendors (mainly because he has an absurd variety of hard to find stuff) ...so ive come to the conclusion he just makes shit up... i dont know if it's because he's not sure, he cant be bothered to check, or if he just doesnt really like me and wants me to buy stuff and promptly piss off... at any rate, he tried telling me this was native to southern taiwan... i knew he was full of it cuz ive scanned more than a few books on the orchids of taiwan... that is unless he meant southern taiwan, aka the philippines!
anyway it's got two really nice spikes and i am glad to work a few species into my rapidly expanding vanda collection!

is it really? well, i eat my words! i was under the impression that it was brought here and not actually indigenous... i'm not sure if he would be so appreciative of an apologetic kiss ;-)
