I think this is AOS awarded ? Flowers about 7 inch spread.
One I have to grow, since Horace is one of my names, although it is mainly the friends of my childhood who know that - not that there are many left, as time goes by.
Lovely full form. Nice color
'Maxima' was awarded an AM/AOS before 1965, and again in 2008. The 2008 award had 4 19 cm flowers on 1 inflorescence. More importantly, it is one of the great Cattleya parents.
What huge floral spread and nice color.
Gorgeous cattleya !
One of my favorites, and was used in a beautiful peach hybrid I have, living now in the orchid nursery nearby. It blooms around this time, so perhaps I will be able to visit it.
Beautiful cattleya! Horace 'Maxima' has been used to make many hybrids.
Wow! that is a lovely.
