Mine is growing in lava rock right now, which I am changing when it warms up, was thinking of using tree fern, but the book I have for growing vandas in Florida says to use cypress mulch for this type of vanda, that seems odd to me but I guess it would maintain a good moisture level.
Why don't u try a pot with a stick in it kind of like my experimental semi hydro vanda pot that I had on an earlier post...its working well with Arachnis and I also have a terete hybrid dats very old named Vanda Josephine Black growing like that as well

I have been out of circulation for a while- my eye troubles continue... However, this supposed Miss Joaquim variety is quite new to me, and really quite remarkable. Can it possibly be true to name ? Thos twisted laterals rather give the game away , perhaps ? A very
interesting orchid, whatever it really is.
