    Default Renanthera Twin Star

Please do not adjust your viewing screen. These bright red spots are not some rare tropical disease, and even if it were its not catchy over the Internet (Wrong kind of virus thank goodness). All kidding aside this is my first experience with this orchid blooming in the three years I've had it. I can see the old spikes it had and probably it last spiked well before I purchased this plant. It has at least 16 buds/blooms, though the spike tip is still developing new buds that are not really formed as of yet and the spike is probably still growing longer. I'll post again when in fuller or full bloom as I don't know how long these flowers last. I have few winter blooming orchids, so it's nice to see that in my greenhouse spring has sprung! Enjoy! How striking, Al! My goodness, that's a strapping plant you have there - next year it'll be just covered in new spikes and you'll have to take it to the AOS judging to get a CCM!
