Default Cattleya Bob Betts in Bloom

This is an amazing orchid. Fantastic fragrance, 6-7 inch blooms. When I got it, it had 4 buds and was in kind of rough shape - but grooming it and staking it properly made all the difference. It's a division of an old, strong plant, so it was well-established.

Yes, indeed, Ron (I finally dug out a tag while I was staking it). C. Bob Betts was the first C. Bow Bells cross in the States (McDade, 1950). It is a cross between C. Bow Bells and C. mossiae - making it, according to OWiz, 68% mossiae, 19% gaskelliana, and 13% trianae.
