    You could bet your bottom dollar & suggest the seedlings were bought from Thailand & the cross named by the said nursery.

    I just have to keep scrolling the thread list for the occasional ascocenda since it is my favorite orchid. That's a lovely one you got there, Yew. I hope you upload more photos of your other ascocendas. I don't have any right now. I think the my very first thread here was of an orange no ID asconcenda. It stayed with me for two years then it died. My other post of that warm pink ascocenda, that one's gone now too.

    RHS have the registrant & originator as Brighton Orchids & they do/did have the plants to make the cross. They had/have a Lab but they also bought in huge amounts of flasks from OS.
    Seems to be similar arrangement to a large USA Vanda+ nursery.
