The RHS now calls this a "Cattcyclia", but it's really an oldish primary cross of Cattleya intermedia and Encyclia tampensis. It has, at the moment, two blooms and one bud, but an enormous number of new growths and quite a few sheaths that I hope will develop soon. It's in a hanging basket where the roots just go everywhere. I don't know if I should put it in a larger basket after it blooms - but it sems so happy as is that I probably should leave well enough alone.
At the moment it is better to leave it as it is.
Personally I would make two plants, but would wait until the plants growing cycle starts.
