    Default Vanda coerulea seedling...yeah, right!!!!!

Having flowered the 'Mount Coolah', I was looking forward to seeing my 'outcross' coerulea seedling flower. Supposed to be full shape potential like the ones in the catalogs..
Would anyone care to guess at what this is ???
Came from one of supposedly distinguished Vanda nurseries here in Aus'.
Its just opening. Its about Ascocenda size.

It resembles an Ascocenda Princess Mikasa to me... Vanda coerulea is one of the parents of that one, but the offspring can range in color from pink to purple to shades of "blue." Perhaps someone got mixed up with the parentage...

Ascocenda Princess Sapphire = Ascocenda Royal Sapphire x Vanda coerulea. The blue shades can be quite stunning. I have a pink one, but one of these days I'd like to get my hands on a blue... they're extremely popular, so they can often be quite pricey. Anyway, without a way to give a definite ID, I think Princess Mikasa is a good guess, given its popularity.

    Anyone else have any thoughts?

Gotta love wrong tags. It's one of my favorite things to rant and rave about. If it's any consolation, it's a beauty. I'd be firing off a letter to the vendor....

It is pretty, I wouldn't think Mikasa only because of the spotting, but that is just a guess, curious to see how the bloom ages

Good point about the spots! I hadn't really noticed those...
