A plant I bought at a show last autumn ; I have not yet even started a growth - but these things do have a long resting season before they flower. This is a strong plant , latest cane more than half a metre high, but flowering on the one before that.
I can see that the roots are now active, so will start watering seriously as soon as the flowers are over - they opened this far only this morning.
What a glorious thing this can be - when grown to multi-growth and multi-spike. I think I know how, but that is some years away. In the meantime it still gives me pleasure

I've seen some nice specimen plants at shows and they are indeed sights to behold. Lovely flowers.

Reminds me of Daffodils in the springtime. Very pretty!

Beautiful - one of the most spectacular bloomers of the Dendrobium family.

Very beautiful blooms! Do the canes stay upright or do they need staking?

The canes are very hard and stiff, but even so, sincethey are tall, a bit of tieing up is good.

Beautiful bloom!! mine bloomed earlier this year and i thought it would never bloom. I also bought mine at a show last year and it does take a while before it blooms what I found disappointing was that the bloom only lasted less than a week.
