    I don't usually repot orchids in baskets. I just let them grow out of the basket and down the sides. On the rare occasion that I do repot a specimen plant, I'll place the entire basket inside a bigger basket.

    thank you for your answer Jeff,i love the specimen and want to follow your step so i can have a center piece for my back yard.
