    Hi Cin,
Thanks!!! Hmm, you like them all and must have them all eh! Well, just the five that I just posted or all the catts in this thread? Heheheeehee!

    Hi Jason,
I like catt species too. Having tried to collect as many of them as I could, however, their cultures are trickier than the clones. The Williette Wong is always a crowd pleaser. I think it will bloom at least twice this year!

    Hi Tim,
Oh dear, don't blame me for another downward slide again, Timmy-O! Hehehehehee!

They are all lovely, Hoa, but I'm a sucker for the species! And your gaskelliana has so many blooms! It's a much paler shade than mine was, but just as lovely.

I have a Catt species that just opened this weekend as well...I bought the seedling 2 1/2 years ago, and this is its first bloom! I'll keep you in suspense until I can snap some pics this week.

You know, that Cattleya gaskelliana looks terribly overgrown.... I really think you need to divide it.... * not too subtle a hint *

    And the mossiae!!!!!!

    Hi Julie,
Well, my gaskelliana is somewhat bluish, probably because of the very pale color. Maybe I should call it "coerulescent". I bought it as a NBS plant. The first time it bloomed many years ago, the fragrance was terrible. Yet the fragrance appears to improve with age. I still have the picture(s) from last year blooms, quite spectacular actually!
You can wait 2 and 1/2 years for a seedling to bloom! That is called "patience" yet you always tell us that is something you don't have! Hehehehehehe!

    Hi Diane,

WOA!!! What a great show of our new niffty icons! Placing them all together like that and watching all of them moving is like watching a cartoon!!! Well, I am afraid I have to grow the gaskelliana for a while. But I will keep an eye for this one from my favorite vendor for you (they don't have it anymore)! BTW, I just cut a division off the Blc. Zul. Let me establish it before giving it to you (3-4 months). The plant is making roots so it's the time to do it!

    Cheers. Hoa.
