Cool Vanda Gordon Dillon 'Blue Spot'

I had to go to one of the local big box hardware stores for paint and look what I found! The pot I would love to have another couple dozen of these for my vandas. The plant was the only one with this color flowers. The guy had just set them on the shelf when I came along and made him get the pretty one from way in the middle. LOL I didn't even care that I couldn't find a tag at the store. Thankfully there was a tag still attached to the basket someone crammed down into the clay pot some time back. There is some damage to the flowers, but i'm guessing the last buds to open won't have it. Woo Hoo...I need to go to that store more often.

I was shocked to see vanda like this one sitting in a box store. I was headed for the baggie babies when I spotted five large and gorgeous vanda. They had sat this one in the middle. The other's were the dark purple and this was the sole one with this look. I need to go check their inventory for the next couple weeks and see if they get more in. I got to them before their staff had a chance to mess them up.

I don't believe my BBS has Baggie babies. I'd be thrilled to find even those!

This is the first time I've seen anything close to a vanda at my BBS. I was zooming along and saw they had a long long row of alba paphs, which caught my eye. But then as I looked over the rack I saw that single row of vandas in clay pots. I just came in from sniffing the flowers again. They have a delicate perfume that is delightful. I keep wishing they would have had more than one type...and then I remind myself what a miracle it is they even had the ones I found. lol I am so tempted to drive all over town to each of those stores in town. See if they have them in any other color...I almost wish i'd just bought one of the darker ones.
