    Default Scaphyglottis behrii

I have this Scaphyglottis, and a Scaphosepalum, and a few Spathoglottis. So I get the genera confused sometimes, even though they are unrelated (Scaphyglottis is related to Laelia, Scaphosepalum is related to Pleurothallis, and Spathoglottis is related to Phaius and Cymbidium).

    Anyhow.

As you can see, it's pretty small, and non-resupinate. It currently has 6 blooms on it.

First thing I thought of was that it looks like a Dend kingianum flower! Amazing how it is in the laeliinae alliance. Especially in that third photo with Bc Groganiae.

I do like this one... partly because it does remind me of the kingis and partly because of the nice coloration, ie the way it has those pink tips..

Amazing photos. Have to admit, I'm struck by the Groganiea. Color, form - just lovely.

Very cool, Sue! Amazing to see both flowers in the same photo that way.

    Cheers!
