    Cool Two Dendrobiums in Bloom

I love dendrobiums...name tag or no. The first pictures are of a plant that grows larger by the minute and has some of the largest dendrobium flowers I've ever seen. The plant has finally got it's act together...the flowers have the best markings/coloring so far. The second flowers are on a plant I attached to a palm tree this spring. It seems to like it's new location and being out of a container (it had been rotting even in a basket). I hope next year it will throw a couple spikes with a nicer flower count...however, I am loving the yellow in the throat and the flower size isn't too bad either.

    Hi Connie
As you might know Den. are the largest part of my collection so I am always happy when I see someone adding some to theirs.
These two are beautiful. Have a look at Den. Heing Beauty for the first Pics.

Thank You so much Angela! I looked up Dendrobium Heing Beauty and found two pictures very similar to my flowers. I also found other pictures that had spelled it "Hiang". When I typed Dendrobium Hiang Beauty it brought up many more pictures and they all looked very much like my flowers. I have written both spellings on the tag. I can't thank you enough. This is one of my favorite dendrobiums. I am so happy to be able to give this handsome plant a tag!

Connie both are very beautiful you must try another hard cane species like D. lisiantera , discolor, schulerii and many others all are so beautiful long lasting like your hybrids and the scent is awesome definitely you will proud on them.

Lovely. Hard cane dendrobiums are among the most free flowering and floriferous of orchids, but they do need frequent repotting to show off their best....... which reminds me that I really have to repot most of mine.

Thanks for the suggestions...I am always hunting for more dendrobiums. I've seen discolor and love it...the others' I will need to look up as I do not recall having seen them before.

I wasn't aware they needed to be repotted so often...that sure explains a lot though! Mine get repotted because it's windy and they seem to be the first to fall over/out of their pots. The one's i'd just repotted are all blooming, even if they don't have tons of flowers...i'm happy as some are very difficult for me to bloom.
