    Default Dendrobium or Vanda?

I have two of these orhids they are both large and filled with flowers right now and more flower spikes are coming out too, I have always thought that it is a dendrobium but this week someone suggested that it is a vand Joaquim agnus, I googled that and the flowers are not like these, but, I wanted to know if it was a vanda or a den, Name: CIMG0845a.jpg

Someone may recognise it. It's probably out of Hawaii or Thailand.
    Not an easy job.

No question -- as Roy said -- its a den.

Reality is the best you will ever get is a "maybe" ID. There are too may look-alike hybrids for a definite ID to ever be made. Extremely well bloomed! A most excellent display.

Dendrobium for sure. Very well grown. I hope you get an ID so I can look out for one as well.

This is a Dendrobium hybrid. Some call it a Dend. phalaenopsis hybrid because the species Dendrobium phalaeonopsis is the basis for this type of hybrids (along with other species similar to Den. phal.). It is nearly impossible to get a name for it because there are so many that are almost identical to it. They are grown in Hawaii and Thailand by the millions for the cut flower industry. Culture is warm with a good amount of light (Cattleya - Vanda light) and well drained media. Lava rock and charcoal are used a lot in Hawaii. It is a very nice and robust plant by the picture. I would forget about a hybrid name and just enjoy it.
