This is my favorite small cattleya. It's mounted on a piece of cork. It blooms twice a year, for me, with 4" flowers that open pale yellow and fade to white after a couple days. The blooms are self supporting and don't need to be staked.

How pretty! I'm getting a real appreciation for the white Cattleyas. I hope the sheath my 'Bob Betz' put out will bloom. It was sold to me as "near blooming size" though. I was expecting probably the next p-bulb to bloom. I get so tempted to spend money when nothing is blooming, I'll be like a plant hoarder soon!

Yep, that is a nice one...Are the blooms white or peach? From the pic, it looks like a harlequin.

The petals start out pale yellow then, in a couple days, they fade to white with a little pink blush in some places. The color depends on the temperature also. In cold weather it's snow white.

That is a beautiful cattleya. You have amazing plants. If I could get any of my catts to bloom I'd be ecstatic. I keep going the easy route and buying one in bloom. At this rate I'll need a bigger house. After seeing your cattleyas I feel inspired to keep trying.
