Cool Rhy. Gigantea (Red x Plai)

The tag says it is a gigantea cross but, as was pointed out to me by a friend, it looks like 'Colmarie'. Since several plants from this vendor have turned out to have the wrong plant tag...sigh...who knows? No the flowers do not have a pleasant scent. This one you do not want a sniff of as it's not pleasant.

nice color , it looks like a Rhy. Gigantea from the plant form, I have a "Colmarie" and the form has thinner leaves, not so broad in shape. that's strange about the smell, the giganteas I have smell wonderful

I concur with Ed. It's a very lovely Rhy gigantea. Incidentally this is the blooming season for Rhy gigantea.

I told Connie I thought it was a Colmarie. I stand corrected. Never saw a gigantea quite like that one before.

Thank you, I've been in love with this plant since it arrived. I've seen one larger than mine across town, but mine still gives me a grin.

Oh Connie it is a lovely Rhy. Gigantea! I have one called Rhy. Gigantea 'Spot', but it looks very similar. I just love the color.

    cheers,
    BD
