    Default Rhy gigantea 'Spots'

I was very lucky to pry this one off the vendor. She had got this as a gift from a friend in Thailand . The friend had collected it from somewhere in Northern Thailand. I was shown a picture of the mother plant with a with a brood of keikis sticking to the lower 1/3 of the plant. It was a humongous specimen measuring about 5 feet in height with arm length leaves, looking more like a Vandopsis gigantea than a Rhycostylis. It wasn't flowering when the picture was taken in situ. The plant I have is one of the keikis from this plant.

The flower measures 35mm compared to the normal size of 30mm

No this is definitely not a hybrid; it is a keiki from a wild collected plant.
