I've always liked these, but the plants get too darned tall. Saw a couple 2-3 footers at the show last weekend.

Epc. Rene Marques is by far the most commonly seen Epi. pseudepidendrum hybrid. A few years back you would sometimes see Epi. Plastic Doll (x Epi. ilense) and Epi. Rum Nose (x Epi. stamfordianum). You might find those, but I have no idea where. With any Epi. pseudepidendrum hybrids don't cut old spikes until they die back naturally, they can sometimes rebloom.

I found 2 other hybrids with Epidendrum psuedoepidendrum. I know I have seen one or two more but I can't find them.

Epilaeliacattleya Painted Hill Star is a hybrid of Laelia anceps v. veitchiana x Epicattleya René Marqués. Looks almost like yours but flowers are 3 inches across.
Epidendrum Plastic Doll is Epi ilense x psuedoepidendrum Haven't seen any pictures of it.

painted hill star looks interesting... some of the seedlings have more colors, subdued, but interesting. pseudepidendrum really seems to dominate the flower shape. having some anceps in it should produce larger flowers if nothing else, and that's always a plus to me. anceps is on my want list, pretty near the top. plastic doll looks to have a really huge fringed lip, so if i ever see that for sale i'm getting one!

the flowers are just now beginning to fade i think. the older one is turning a darker shade. so they lasted a good 2 months or so. the other seedling in the pot has a maturing growth, but no sign of a flower stem yet.
