    Cool Bc. Bill Worsley

I recently went shopping at a local sale. A few people that wanted to clean out their greenhouses made up this group and every four to six months they have a sale. I get some of my largest vandas from one particular member of the group. I got up super early so I would have a chance at one of her vandas in bud. I also found this one at another ladies table and I have to say I love the delicate yellow. It is a cross of Brassavola nodosa and Cattleya aurantica.

I will put the pictures of the vanda on a separate post.

Nice find! Looks really good on the mount...did it inherit the nodosa fragrance? OT-I love that scent but haven't managed to keep a nodosa. Maybe now that I'm in Florida, I should try again.

Mine look poorly in the winter and then as soon as fertilizer starts again they plump back up. They grow with my vanda and in nearly full sunlight. They and Encyclia grow like weeds down here. I would definitely encourage you to try them again. You just have to treat for fungal and bacterial infections on a regular basis.
