Cool Vanda Merv L Velthius x Vanda Dr. Anek

I can only take credit for not blasting the buds on the spike. This plant is a beautiful semi-terete. The roots are wound up so snails can't take the opportunity to snack on my huge buds. When it is fully bloomed I will attach a few more pictures.

Beautiful. I love Velthuis crosses - beautiful and impressive blooms and very free flowering. Congrats, Connie. So glad to see you back and active again.

Thank you. It was a rough winter and it's great to be back. I have missed everyone on here. For someone that doesn't work I can get way too busy at times. lol

nice shape as expected with anek as a parent....colour reminds me of certain clones of vanda usha (jvb x anek)...yes anek has near perfect shape but most times the colours doesnt pass on in the semi terete breeding.....as far as pastels go i see jvb hybrids making a comeback in popularity....ive known them since i was a kid...everyone had jvb hybrids from the far east and oranges pinks and all the colours in between were the norm in bed plantings...i thank the heavens for arandas adding previously unknown colours to full sun beds...and Vanda Taib a real angel.....i wish i had a tertraploid jvb just for breeding purposes
