    Default Ascocentrum (Vanda) ampullaceum

This delightful little vandaceous is really going to give a very nice display this year with 5 spikes. Individual flowers are less than 1/2 an inch across. The plant is less than 5 inches tall. I'll be posting again when all the spikes are in full bloom.

Can that small plant physically support all those spikes?

    Nicely done!

Thanks Harvey. All the spikes sprout from the bottom half of the plant near the base unlike most vandas.

Really awesome Yew Sung. You are truly an orchid master! Now, Ascocentrum really sounds very nice so please don't stress yourself out over these silly nomenclature changes. By whatever name, yours is an outstanding orchid.
