Default pure yellow variety Vanda ...

Several months ago Mr. and Mrs. --------- presented a very healthy vanda from their collection, said to be the very rare variety of Vanda merrillii, which is pure yellow instead of the usual dark maroon with yellow striations towards the center.
I grabbed it, and now it has bloomed. :-(. A wonderful var rotorii, thats for sure, but having paid more than 10 times the price, I am enraged.

The rotorii variant has little or no yellow striations. The blooms have a very light fragrance.
Hard to photograph, because it likes to blend with the shadows, lol...

How disappointing. I don't suppose you could embarass them into returning part of your payment?? Still it is a lovely plant, but then all your plants seem to be lovely.

Wow! What a bummer. That's worse because of the wait, dreaming of yellow flowers!

Still, it is a lovely plant.

oh man, I'm looking at how dark that flower is and I'm thinking WOW!!!

If it will ease the pain, you can always send it to me and then you won't have to keep looking at it and in time won't remember the whole kerfuffle!

Man, what a bummer! Just pack that sucker up and ship it over here and I will 'dispose' of it for problem!! Sorry it is not what you paid for, but it is still beautiful. Your plants are all stunning! Thanks for sharing so many with all of us! I feel like a broken record sometimes, so I opt not to say anything, but you do an excellent job with your orchids!

    Gorgeous vanda blooms! So dark!
You don't like it, ship it to us! Hehehe!
Seriously, I would be upset too since it is not what it was paid for.
    Cheers. Hoa.
