looks very much like a plant i have with a myrmecophila as a parent....along the lines of claude hamilton of jamaica breeding...the sepals and the striping in the throat in indicative of myrmecophila/laelia(schomburgkia) parentage....very nice i love them...i have a Brolaelianthe C.F Cherise (why not x undulata) and a Bromecanthe Jamaiaca Fire (why not x brysiana)
Thank you Kjeldsen!!!
You know my orchids better than I know my plants. I looked at the wrong tag. This plant is, in fact, Bromecanthe Jamaica Fire and was registered by Claude Hamilton. I was lucky to get a division of a mature plant. Again, thank you for catching my error. I will attempt to be more careful in the future. I feel that Claude Hamilton's breeding program has produced many truly impressive orchids.
