    Default Aerides houlletiana

It's been quite a while since i posted pictures of my orchids. For the last 3 months or so I've been without my computer - the darn hard disk broke down and I thought I had lost all 15,000 of my fotos but my youngest son managed to install a new hard disk and also retrieved more than 90 percent of the photos. It has been a very traumatic time waiting for the outcome of the repair and I have learnt my lesson and now have a backup external drive and storage. So all this time while my orchids bloomed I had not taken any pictures of them. I only got my computer back yesterday and still feeling my way around.

I have just managed to download pictures I took in May . This is a picture of my Aer houlletiana . I bought the plant 3 years ago as a 'Blooming size' plant. This May was its first blooming. Actually I'm very pleased with it.

Thank you Zainal. Don't despair - this plant took 3 years to bloom though I bought it as a 'blooming size' plant with 3 anak(keikis). I have another plant that I bought last year and this plant is an offshoot from a prize winning plant in the Haadyai Show but I think my present one has flowers just as good.

A slight fragrance - not as strong as Aer odorata
