Default Cattleya warscewiczii var alba 'Leo Holguin' FCC/AOS

This has got to be a serious contender for my favorite cattleya. It loves the summer heat here in Texas and grows like crazy mad fast after a winter rest period. I got it as a division in early Spring from a reputable grower that virus tested it because old divisions of this plant can sometimes be diseased. Luckily this one is not and it is a real beauty. I expect bigger and better blossoms once this plant gets more roots under it.

Does it smell? I've always wanted to grow this species so I can smell it but I grow under lights so I think I couldn't give it enough light to bloom.

Yes. It has a faint floral scent that is pleasant. I don't know if this one would grow properly under lights as it seems to enjoy vanda type lighting. This and Cattleya lueddemanniana are the light lovers it seems.
