    Cool Blc. Tequila Sunset

This is a gift that just keeps giving...the flowers are extra large this time. I will update this post later since the flowers change to an amazing gold color as they age. It is almost time to repot the old girl...

Love the unusual color on the first one! Does it open in that shade, or does it take some time to develop?

Wonderful rich orchid colour of Blc Tequila Sunset, and love the lip's colour pattern . A massive and healthy plant too. Good growing!

It opens in an unusual color, somewhat darker than the pictures above. Day by day the petals fade a little until by the time the flowers fall off they are a golden yellow. I will add a picture of the flower just opened and when they begin to turn I will update the post again. The Richard Mueller crosses are color changers and make you feel like you have several plants as each day the flowers look just a little different.

Also, this particular cattleya can take a couple days to completely open and "stretch out". By the time they are completely open the color has already begun to fade.

Nice, Connie..... Reminds me a little bit of Laelia Santa Barbara SUNSET 'Showtime'. It seems that any of the orchids with the word "sunset" in them, will have that peachy/pink/coral two toned color...love it!
