    Default BLC Haadyai Delight

This Cattleya is in bloom currently. From my experience, my Cattleyas usually will start to spike around 2 months after giving them a dosage of organic fertilizer. Don't really know the content of the fertilizer... will need to ask the vendor who supplied them to me when I next visit! Happy growing everyone!

Are you sure this is Blc. Haadyai Delight? I'm pretty sure this cat is not a Haadyai Delight because I have one.

Hi WithoutID! This was the name the orchid nursery people gave me. 3 years ago when I got it, the lip of the flower has got more red to it. Light, temperature and humidity may also play a part to the shape and colour of the bloom, I believe. Also, the picture shown here was taken just as the bloom opened. Now, the flower has grown bigger, colour slightly more to yellow/gold. Maybe you can show a picture of yours, we can compare. Cheers!

Hi WithoutID, yes, your BLC HD looks a bit different, the petals have sharper edges and the lip more spread out. Well, we will not know for sure how these differences come about, as they are being labeled the same BLC HD!! Anyway, just enjoy the flowers!!
