Happy to share Rhynchostylis gigantea var Kra. Got this as Plai but turned out to be Kra.
Wow! It's beautiful. I want one.
Chang Kra (Thai name of R. gigantea) is the normal variety of the R. gigantea as it appears in the wild. Nicely flowered.
A lovely clone Sriram. and as Amey says it refers to the normal type 'gigantea' but still very variable.
Beautiful. Well grown plant too. So what is the difference between Plai and Kra? I'm not familiar with these forms. Thanks, Randy
Plai has dominant purple blotches whereas Kra is purple spots.
thanks for the clarification.
