    Default Vanda denisoniana?

Bought this one as a Vanda denisoniana, but now with all the spots, I'm not sure that is what it is. The lip looks like a V. denisoniana, and the scent is like a V. denisoniana, but the ones I've seen with markings generally had stripes/tessellations (V. denisoniana var hebraica) or if spotted, the spots typically formed lines. The size / shape seems right, too. I'm going to hang on to it, but asked the seller if they could provide insight on what it may be. On another forum, someone suggested V. Marianne (V. tricolor x V. denisoniana), but the few photos I could locate did not look like this one.

    Looks like denisoniana to me.

The photos in OrchidWiz show all sorts of variations in color and pattern, including one a lot like yours. "Stripes", if any, tend to be rows of spots, and there are none with tessellation.

Looked up Densoniana with spots and came up with KV117, Trgl. Faciata x V. denisoniana. Maybe? Whatever you call it, I love it!

Ray, here is a post from zainal showing two with tessellations:

And, I've noticed that with some of the spotted ones, the lateral sepals at the edges sometimes hint an tessellations:

    and

For me, I'd prefer the tessellations over the spots. The blooms are still going strong, and in the 'am' still have a strong rather 'lemony' scent.
