Very nice bloom Kathi but its not straight Waianae Leopard 'Ching Hua', its probably a cross from it.

Thanks all. Roy, I am just going by the label. In person, it is greener than the pic shows, and looks like other pictures I've seen of it; at least to my eye. Can you describe what is different for me? Thanks!

Your photo is lovely, but it looks to me as if it was backlit (back left) and has been slightly enhanced by something like "add vibrance". In either case it would make the subject look somewhat different in colour especially, and to some extent in markings. I love the picture though, it makes the orchid really stand out. It certainly caught my eye.

Kathi, better than describe I'm posting a pic. There are similarities as you will see. I is possible that this plant being heavily mericloned, variations will appear particularly with mericlones being mericloned then mericloned again.

The markings and basic colours look the same to me, certainly very similar. Photos of the same thing can vary enormously depending on camera, lighting digital, film etc; etc; That is an extremely professional photo Roy has sent whereas the earlier one looks as if it was taken in less than perfect conditions. It doesn't seem fair to try and compare the two.

It isn't true that photos don't lie, in my experience they can tell real whoppers lol!
