    Default Dendrobium Airy Crimson 815

This was one of the first orchids that I rescued from a few months ago ------. It seemed like the pot had been dropped so most of the potting medium had fallen out; the plant was just leaning to one side. I convinced the cashier to give me a discount so she only charged me $5. Brought it home, repotted it and hung the basket in a tree outside. This is the result. Bloom color is actually darker than you see here. I think it's beautiful.

So the day that I made this original post, I brought this orchid inside so I could enjoy the blooms. I watered it once and put some spaghnum moss on the top just for the sake of aesthetics;I was going to take it to my office and didn't want the roots and bark to be exposed. Since that time, a few leaves have turned yellow and fallen off, and only three of the nine buds have opened. All the other buds have fallen off. I'm so disappointed. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Sorry to hear that. few leaves dropping could be normal but bud blast could be due to sudden change in light or humidity levels. They would prefer a more cooler and indirect light and not much of change between the time bud is formed and flowering
