I really like that one. But I just don't see how I can give it the kind of care it needs. So I'll continue to enjoys the pictures from others.

It is a beaut, Gin! But I'm with Diane...I'd make a colorful salad out of it. It's great to know the genus' survival is not dependent upon me!

I'm reckoning that Gin's giving Hoa a run for his money... certainly a lovely flowering of this plant as well!!!

As for Dends in a collection... I am in the process of culling my Asian Dends, mainly for the fact mentioned by Hoa already, ie the flowers don't really last as long as I would like... so I will have to appreciate these viacariously through the wonderfull growing of all you other forum members... so please post more

    Hi Gin,
Don't you think your dends are gorgeous? I think so!!! I love the loddigesii. Mine is in buds!

So Tim-O, why culling the asian dends? Don't you agree that the pictures of the dendrobium blooms that Gin and I posted are so breathtaking beatutiful with surreal and ethereal qualities to the blossoms? Don't you want them as well? They may last longer than you might expect. For example, my dendrobium aphyllum that I posted back in Feb 17 is still in bloom right now! That is more than a month already and it is still sending more buds out. I guess it still has a few more weeks to go before the show ends!

    Cheers. Hoa.

WOW Gin!!! ok am I saying wow too much this morning? Well, that's because you are all such amazing growers with wonderful plants!!!

Hoa, I've got three different types of Dend moschatum... and seeing as they grow to my size... (yes I know that's not very tall :/ ) I can utilise that space for more Paphs! and Phrags! and Vandas!

Anyways, I will still have all my Aussie dends which on last count is around sixty plants... so will keep the Asian dends down to one each of the moschatum, one chrysanthum, a fimbriatum, and a hildebrandii

of course, that lindleyi is so cute... maybe.. hmm....

My money is on Gin! Sorry, Hoa, but as Gin is 100, she has at least 70 years more practice than you do, and she doesn't have to worry about her speedo slipping. a disk in her back, maybe, but not her speedo!
